Hi, yes it is safe to use a high pressure wash to clean under the bonnet. Just hose the dirt off. For more serious

The foaming aerosol tyre shine cans also do a great job of making dirty plastic shine again under the bonnet. After going through muddy water I jet washed the engine down (very carefully) then used the tyre shine and it looked better than new. I've found the aerosol cans work better than the sprays for this. Aerospace 303 is a protectant for plastics etc, give the plastic parts a wipe over with that once you're clean, really good stuff. |
