I would think that they can check the service history on line very quickly and add the stamp to validate once they have confirmed where it was done, if not tell them you dont want the motor Evil or Very Mad

Hello,

With regards to my earlier post on this thread and the apparent lack of service history it now appears that the car definately hasn't got a full service history.

LeedsUnited commented that I should tell them I don't want the car and I want my money back. Does anyone know where I would legally stand if I took this approach ?? Its supposed to be a Land Rover approved vehicle bought from a approved dealer. I've had the car for almost a year now.

First thing i would do is to contact your dealer and advise him that you wish to return the vehicle on the basis that is has been sold to you under false pretences and you are looking for a refund, if they are not interested in your case advise him that you are putting this in writing to him and Land Rover and that you are also going to engage your local trading standards office and your solicitor.

They may offer you a refund with a deduction on the basis that you have used the car, i would strongly resist this approach on the basis that had you known that it was not the car you thought you where buying you would never have bought it in the first place.
