Advice re buying a RRS

Hi all, and thanks to those who have been kind enough to reply to my previous requests for help and advice.
I've been unable to find a suitable 2006-2008 RRS HSE in any of the specialist Land Rover dealers within 100 miles of my home town (Swansea) but there are 1 or 2 for sale in non-franchised dealers.
What should I be looking for in the general service history of these cars? For example, I've heard (through the Forum) about suspension problems. Most of the vehicles advertised are 'with service history' (important) but I haven't actually viewed any yet.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

Make it a condition of any sale that the non-franchise garage takes the car long to the nearest franchised outlet for a full service and update of the software before you will buy.

I advised a neighbour to do this when he was buying an early Freelander1 from the village garage who sells any marque. The village garage was only too happy to take it to the local LR dealer as the car had been sitting on their forecourt for months (it was a base model 3 door hardback with the L series diesel) and they wanted shot of it. The report that came back was that the car had 3 recall items to be dealt with that the village garage was unaware of - I suspect that most non franchise, non LR specialist outlets would also not know about these things. My neighbour bought the car and ran it for 6 years until somebody drove into the side of it and wrote it off for him! He also got a bargain.

All modern Land Rovers really need to be looked at by either LR dealers or non franchised Land Rover specialists, ordinary non LR specialist garages just don't have the knowledge of the modern cars to be able to check them over properly and most have no idea how the Dynamic Response or Air Suspension systems work. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW
