Best colours

I am about to order a new RRS (hopefully) and cannot decide on the best colours to choose. Black and very dark colours are out for both outside and inside, so from the brochure i chose Stornoway grey and Almond and Nutmeg interior.

Having not seen these colours in the flesh I'm wondering if this is a good choice, so am looking for any suggestions for or against.

The model I'm after is the 3.0 TDV6 HSE with a few options ticked by the way. Very Happy

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

RRS looks very nice in Nara Bronze with Almond leather if you want something a little different and that isn't black.
I had a Stornoway TDv8 with Ebony (pics in my gallery) and have repalced it with a TDV8 FFRR in Stornoway but with Ivory interior (pics posted in the My RRS or Off Topic sections) 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

The "designer's choice" is Aribica leather with Nara Bronze, but otherwise Almond is my favourite colour. Would be nice to see the two side by side to compare, but I fear it's a relatively a rare colour! If I was specing a new RRS I am pretty sure I would go with Nara Bronze my girlfriend talked me into it despite my initial gut reaction of not / never buying a brown car). So it would just be the leather and wood colour I would have to umm n arrr about.

Thanks Tim and ilard for adding even more to my confusion, much appreciated. I'm finding it hard to accept Nara Bronze judging by the look in my monitor and that in the brochure. So I might just go for the Nara Bronze and Arabica combination and blame the designer if it looks bad. Wink

I saw a Stornoway in Monaco at the weekend (so a good setting to show off a good colour one would think). It is an 'nice' colour, but lacked presence. I'd happily drive one, but it's a bit Tesco. This was declared by SWMBO and what she doesn't know about colours etc ain't worth knowing I have learned.

Black is too ubiquitous(?) Blue is wrong for a RR, just WRONG (?) Galway Green is spanky and drab at the same time, perhaps too yesterday, too agricultural (?).

Hence, Nara Bronze with its slinky coffee cum milky chocolate undertones and its "*if* you can catch me you can *have* me, you home wrecker" 1970's metallic buffed up expressionism is the way forward every time. SWMBO said: why do you think it's the first colour shown in the brochure (see page 2) if it's not the best colour? I had no answer.

Nara Bronze. Do it.

Scotland 2010 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 SE Santorini Black

theres a new stornoway/almond combination round here, think the two colours are too wishy washy together, go dark with the paint if you want a light interior, or light paint with dark interior. the car has clear windows , which in my opinion doesnt look good at all! have a look at my mate annejovis rrs, it is bournville with almond and looks great

cheers

To think I used to be indecisive before joining this forum.

What about Nara Bronze with Almond interior then? The designer choice of Arabic is out as it's a £750 extra charge and I'm up to my limit with the other toys I've chosen.

My last two cars have had black leather interiors and I just wanted a change. I'm relying on you good members who have seen the different colour combinations in the flesh for guidance here, as i am unable to visit the dealers easily.

that would be a good combination, as they are both brownish in the colour scheme!!, you wouldnt wear a grey shirt with chinos ....or would you???? when i ordered mine the only colour in the showroom was the bali blue, i played safe and went for black with black leather, basically because i didnt want a two tone dash, after seeing a few more about, i kind of with i had gone for the bronze, but as i hadnt seen it in the flesh i decided against it!
hope this helps

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

I had Stornoway and Ebony but with an all black interior it was depressing inside (would have been worse if I had had privacy too!) I now have Stornoway and Ivory (OK so it isn't a Sport but it gives you some idea)). There are pics here http://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic2653.html
The Ivory interior after 3 weeks has so far proved not to be the headache for keeping clean as I thought it was going to be, but then I don't have wives/kids or pets to carry around in it! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
