United Arab Emirates 2008 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Alaska White
Middle East maps.

I have my 2008 RRSC and would like to know if I can up-date the sat nav software? My local chap told me to contact the local BMW dealer for the DVD upgrade. Is he talking the truth?
Is there a better version of the sat nav out there on DVD that will work in my car? It seems geared to the UK, Europe system and not the Middle East.....anyone from the Middle East regeon will know exactly what I'm talking about!

thx.

S

Not sure but I need to get mine updated, my maps are 4 years old which means the Sat Nav thinks I'm driving in the desert most of the time. Was at the dealer yesterday and they said they couldn't do it.

guys,

Do you want to upgrade the SatNav system or get the most recent Maps DVD. As far as I'm aware you can't upgrade the system, there maybe some minor software upgrades which fix glichs however the system will all in all operate in the same manner and have the same appearance.

If however you want to get the latest DVD then go to the LR dealer and get charged a fortune, or alternatively pm somebody who has a 2008/9 DVD (latest update from LR) who can burn you a copy and drop it of next time he's in Dubai Wink . I'm flying up today but the cars in the garage getting a whole range of upgrades sorted Very Happy

Cheers

So what I was told by Al Tayer seems correct then. Nothing can be done with the firmware...... Neutral

So who do we know that might want to burn a copy of their 2008 disc then?

Guy would you drop me a PM when you get a minute? Maybe we can sort something out Whistle I hope that the LR discs arn't copy protected like the Garmin ones Question
