Smart Key / Keyless Locking MY2010

Hi All, I am probably being a dumbass, until now I always just used the remote to lock, but I noticed in the user handbook you can keyless lock by pressing or double pressing the button on the door.

Nice idea but nothing happens on my UK car. I noticed by chance that the lock symbol is on the passenger door outside handle but not on the driver's door. Sure enough on the passenger door click on the door handle button locks the car and parks the mirrors etc. The lock symbol isn't on the driver's door.

So am I being a dumb, is my car 'special' with the lock that lets you do this fitted on the wrong (passenger) side, it is a software thing or can it really be that its like this on all UK model RRS as most of the world drives on the other side.

Be good to know if anyone else with a MY2010 can keyless lock from the driver's door.
cheers!

You should be able to lock it or unlock it from any of the 4 doors but the key must be next to the door you are (un)locking. WINNER - 2009 ‘Just Doing What It’s Designed To Do’ Award

As Richard says, should be able to unlock/lock at any door, works on my MY10 anyway.

I think the lock symbol on passengers door is because that bit can be removed if you ever needed to access car with the key built into your keyfob Thumbs Up MY10 3.0 HSE Santorini Black, Ivory Premium & extended leather, privacy, paddles, diamond turned alloys, Ipod lead that charges, tasmods, rrsport.co.uk stickers

JC1 is right - the lock on the passenger door is for access if the battery ever fails.

the sensors are all around the RR for keyless access... must be a problem with your front door sensor.

read your manual, and try it out - i think a visit to the stealers may be in order
