I was quite surprised that the audio (radio, iPod, CD etc) doesn't duck (i.e. go quieter) when the reversing proximity sensors are active on my MY10 RRS, especially as they did on my Freelander2. It's quite easy not to hear them above the radio. Is it meant to, or is this just the way of the RRS? Alfa Romeo Giulietta 1.8::MG Montego Turbo::MGB GT::Rover Sterling::MGF::MG ZT 190+

When I got my 2006 RRS it took just 3 months for me to reverse into a wall and total one rear light cluster and wing. I did not hear bleepers, never known why, could be as you say purple people eater

There are no good days, just some days that are not as bad as others!

I noticed on a loaner Freelander it lowered the volume. I've not found any way to do this on the RRS WINNER - 2009 ‘Just Doing What It’s Designed To Do’ Award

Another one of those basic things missing from an expensive car. Was also suprised when the freelander loan car did it. It's not a new thing either as a guy at work has 07MY and that does it.

thats the thing when you are used to not having things like that on previous cars, i just got into the habit of turning the radio down/off when i am parking!!

Yep, Our 2009 Freelander 2 reduces the volume whereas my 2010 RRS HSE does not! I'd never owned a car that DIDN'T reduce the radio volume under these circumstances until I got my 1st RRS. if I remember correctly, my RRS MY2010 had audio ducking before the last updates due to service bulletin Q0093.

I also have problems tk hear the speed signal an the pdc.
