The Continentals are quiet at all speeds but are there any offroad or part offroad/part onroad tyres that are similarly quiet (or at least reasonably quiet) on the road. I am using Goodyear MT/Rs and they are noisy even at 10 mph, so noisy as to be uncomfortable to live with.

Has had some good feedback from disco 3 users, very quite, better on fuel and good in the rough.

This like the MTR's is only available in the slightly bigger size 55 profile instead of 50.

Only other option would be 20 inch wheels fitted with Coopers but this can rub and the lower profile will certainly see lots of wheel scuffs especially on those hard granite kerbs in Guernsey.

ATRs!!! Have a set for winter use on SWMBO's D3 and they have been excellent in the winter up in the Heelands, not the mambypamby winter you've had down souff. Also on Disco3 Tunisia trip one very heavily ladden D3 on ATRs (3 peeps and more stuff than you could shake a stick at) had no punctures but the 3 cars on AT2s all had punctures. Car on MTRs didn't but I did on 17" Contis.

ATRs are quiet, no increase in fuel consumption and look to go on for 40k miles. Deffo the choice for the discerning RRS driver!

Yep, unfortunately just the one tyre 'choice' in 19's. I have the ATR's on my car, fitted them 2 months / ~6k miles ago and have been impressed so far. Barely noticeable wear and they work well offroad from my experiences to date. Heavy mud needs MTR's, but other than that these seem to cope very well. Oh and the ride is much better when compared to the original 50 profile.

That camskill price isn't bad, fitted at Silverline mine were £30 a tyre more. Ex-G4 Challenge RRS HSE, BV55 YZE. Subtle shade of orange ! Now registered YZE481 G4RRS in Melbourne.
