Muz - Dont know what year RRS you have but my brother has an 07 D3, the alarm on this is also very quiet, he disconnects the alarm by the airbox (just a push/pull electrical connection) and then if alarm is set off it sounds through the horn which is very loud. Dont ask why but its original alarm but its made by volvo |

JC1 you're right - have a look over on our sister site disco3.co.uk they tweeked the alarm to make it louder. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Yeah, I only noticed on my FL2 last week that if you activate the alarm you get that pathetic "weee weee weee" thing, but if you press the panic button on the remote, you get the horn blaring. You would have thought they would have done the same for both.

Unplugged the crappy electronic sounder now when the alarm goes off intermitant horn awesome. |
