Range rover sport alarm

Can anyone suggest a loud alarm system as my alarm on my range rover sport is about as loud as a pin drop, when it goes into alarm.I have a colleage who has also tried his and apparantly I Quote from strathstone "Yes the range rover sport alarms are a bit quiet" I think he meant useless.

Muz - Dont know what year RRS you have but my brother has an 07 D3, the alarm on this is also very quiet, he disconnects the alarm by the airbox (just a push/pull electrical connection) and then if alarm is set off it sounds through the horn which is very loud. Dont ask why but its original alarm but its made by volvo Shocked

I would imagine its the same on RRS, but not 100% sure but could be worth a punt Thumbs Up MY10 3.0 HSE Santorini Black, Ivory Premium & extended leather, privacy, paddles, diamond turned alloys, Ipod lead that charges, tasmods, rrsport.co.uk stickers

Jeep 4.0 High Output XJ 94 6" teraflex lift, c/w rear coils, 9500lb winch, 35" TSL super swamper boggers, safari snorkel, custom made bumpers, tom woods custom double cardon driveshaft, twin electric fans. Don't follow it..............you wont make it. The first 4 x 4 by far.

Yeah, I only noticed on my FL2 last week that if you activate the alarm you get that pathetic "weee weee weee" thing, but if you press the panic button on the remote, you get the horn blaring. You would have thought they would have done the same for both.

Maybe there's rules these days governing the volume of car alarms like there is limiting the amount of time they can go off for before they stop to prevent them becoming a nuisance at night? Alfa Romeo Giulietta 1.8::MG Montego Turbo::MGB GT::Rover Sterling::MGF::MG ZT 190+

I'd love to know how to do this, I can fart louder than the current noise it makes.

(and I live near Liverpool, I need an alarm!!!) Laughing Laughing I keep telling myself 'It's a toy'
But I've broken quite a lot of toys in my time.....

Cure

Open the bonnet on the left handside is a big black plasic container.
Unclip the lid and if you look carefully theres a liittle black sounder inside (it has VOLVO on it) witha 3-core black cable plugged into it.
Youl will need a sgrewdriver to ease it out then you have a decent alarm.
Good luck.
