Tim was in Felixstowe but then heading off for Hamburg. Don't know if he's sailed yet though. As I put in the post for Tim earlier he's not home till start/mid July, but keen for the LPR meet at end July. Current, M135i in Estoril Blue with more extras than the cast of Ben Hur.

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

Sail from Felixstowe this evening for Rotterdam/ hamburg/ bremerhaven / Tangiers/ suez/ Jeddah/Jebel Ali(Dubai) / Da Chan Bay/ Hong Kong/ yantian/ Xiamen/ Shanghai/ kwanyang(S.Korea) / Lazaro Cardenas (west coast Mexico) and Balboa, Panama - then a flight home in early July. I won't make to Gaydon, will be anchored off river Elbe instead. James the tracking function is also on the app. I reckon it was worth the dosh but not if you don't already have the MM disks because they are very expensive as you said. I have the whole Uk on disks and the app also works with the air and maritime charts that can run on MM for those with planes and boats 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced

Just bought MM for iPhone. Uploading maps via WiFi is nice and easy but don't think I'd have room for my 1:25000 so have just uploaded 1:50000. Initial comment would be that it's quite slow to render the maps and the screen is obviously small, but I am used to the Netbook though!

A DATE HAS BEEN DECIDED!!!

We will be going for Saturday 24th July, and it will be a combined RRS / FL2 Meet. The format for the day would be to meet at LPR mid-morning for teas and coffee's etc and to look around the cars, then we will arrange a 2nd meeting point (possibly on or near the coast) which will allow for a drive (not a cruise/convoy Whistle ).

I will look after the initial meet at LPR and hopefully someone can help with the 2nd meeting point for a pic-nic. A drive across the Plain would not be suitable for that number of vehicles, however it may be possible to choose a couple of nav points to drive between which will take you along rough gravel tank roads which in itself is quite picturesque. If anyone wants to arrange their own small groups for 'green laning' then this would need to be arranged between yourselves.

By the sounds of it we could have in the region of 50-60 cars which would be great, and if the weather is nice then a pic-nic would be good fun.

Rough format would be:

10:00 Arrive at LPR
10:45 Depart for a pre-agreed destination (Sat Nav needed or pair up with someone with nav)
1:00 Arrive for Pic-Nic
3:00 Depart home

Any other suggestions are more than welcome!
