Hi guys

Is anyone else experiencing problems with their dealer re the supply of the mass dampers for warranty work? All the parts for my car were meant to have been ordered over a month ago but these were not, for some still unknown reason! Now they are on back order with no ETAs available from LR! Ironically, the knocking is now worse than it has ever been after the technical bulletin couldn't be completed by the fitment of these. I am hoping that they actually make a difference when I finally get them!!!

Mine has been perfect ever since mine was done a few 1000 miles ago!

Thanks for that and fingers crossed. I have had pms from people saying they have some I can buy. I just want the garage doing the warranty work to get some!!

Clearly no one else is experiencing these problems.

I have to say, I am more than dissapointed by Lookers on this issue! I have had no update all week, despite James saying I would.

i think James is on holiday, perhaps thats why a call wasn't forthcoming (he's not there to shout!)

I am on holiday and there is a reason why the parts were not ordered (when you made the original booking). Unfortunately when it was established that they were needed they were out of stock at LR.

Apologies that you weren't called when expected, I did make a request to our Service Manager at the end of last week..

Hey James, can you tell me whether a January built MY10 RRS S/C should have the mass dampers fitted when delivered.

I would have thought so. I'm on holls at the moment, but if you PM me next week I'll ask someone far more technical than myself.

I dropped in my 55 plate s/c to have the dampers fitted, only to be told they aren't for my VIN code or something to that effect?


Anyone know any more?
