Wales 2006 Range Rover Sport 4.4 V8 HSE Java Black

It's spread over the Atlantic to Eastern Canada now. I'm stuck on an oil installation off the coast of Newfoundland. We have no helicopters flying, No SAR or Medivac capability and no aircraft flying from St. John's airport.
If things don't get better soon, I'm looking at a 16 hr boat trip in from the platform, 3 day drive from Newfoundland to New York and a 7 day Atlantic crossing in the Queen Mary II to Southampton. Could be worse I suppose!!!!
By the time I get home it will be time to come back to work. Unsustainable. Big Cry

Back from Milan now, it was a good trip car performed well, it took me just under 9 hours to drive down and an hour of that was negotiating the Milan traffic to pick the lads up, total trip time there and back was 21hours.
The ash cloud gave me a spectacular red sunrise and sunset. and the moon was very orange too. Sons of dogs come hither and get flesh

Nice... fancy coming to pick me up from Amsterdam and taking me to Manchester?

Finally got through to KLM after 2 hours on hold at 1:00 this morning and managed to get a flight for tomorrow night... except now there's another ash cloud on the way so it doesn't look like that's going to happen.

Got a ferry booked from Rotterdam for Friday night, so that will be a 12 hour crossing then I've got to get from Hull to Manchester Airport to pick up my car.

Eurostar also rubbish - they've got a few business class spaces showing over the next few days but when you try and book them they say the space is no longer available.

Nice idea, but not sure many people would want me in their nice posh RRSs since I was forced to adopt the emergency "underpants rotation system" Alfa Romeo Giulietta 1.8::MG Montego Turbo::MGB GT::Rover Sterling::MGF::MG ZT 190+

Don't even care - I'll ride on the roof if I have to. At least it looks a fairly straightforward journey, just one change at Manchester Piccadilly.

Still keeping my fingers crossed for flight tomorrow, not very optimistic though. Still, at least I'm stuck in a good hotel in a good city and my client's paying, feel sorry for holiday makers with kids stuck in 2nd rate airports at their own expense. Alfa Romeo Giulietta 1.8::MG Montego Turbo::MGB GT::Rover Sterling::MGF::MG ZT 190+

Nice one, thanks. Just going to hang on and see what's happening tomorrow before I commit myself and make all the arrangements for the ferry option.

Looking forward to spending 12 hours in a shared bunk bed cabin with a complete stranger. Shocked Alfa Romeo Giulietta 1.8::MG Montego Turbo::MGB GT::Rover Sterling::MGF::MG ZT 190+
