2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Zambezi Silver

Received and installed my LR 2009 / 2010 Navteq discs and........it's perfect!! Mr. Green

Slightly updated screen display from original 05/60 discs, but much better mapping and better destination input process. Still NOWHERE near as good as the aftermarket brands (Navman & TomTom) or many in-car systems I've used in the past. I hope MY2010 system is better? (have a TDV8 MY2010 on my new Christmas list!).

is it just me or can you only put part of the post code in the MY10 satnav, so that you can get nearly there. Sure in MY06 that full post code could be inputted purple people eater

I bought them from a LR main stealer (Ascot Sytner) on Ebay for £139 plus p&p - very good service.

Hi, I have bought a 05 RRS and will get it on friday. Now my question is: Do I need the CD always or only one time when I am updating ?
Thanks

always - the disc has to be left in the disc drive.

this might be a bit of a dumb question, but where is the drive for the nav disc? Can't see it in the glove compartments and I don't think its the slots where the audio cds load?

you have to make sure you have the correct disc for the correct vehicle.
EG: a freelander disc will not work in a RRS. I have tried this and get the same screen. Go onto the LR website and check out the different box sets. they must be coded in some way that they will only work in a particular vehicle specified.
Hope this helps.

thanks but next question - how do I get the plastic cover that seems to be concealing the drive off? Tried just pulling it off but seems to screwed on in some way - or do i need to use more force?

I'm sure if I tried to remove the cover I would break something.

I always reach from the back of the seat. If you put the seat all the way forward and up you have enough room to eject and remove the disk. '08 RRS TDV8

I think it does just pull off but as FD says - seat forward and access from the rear
