if you weren't such a tight ass you would have just paid the money for the dealership to sort it

Why the insult Lawzer?? Obvioulsy associated with town and country

I've had my car in there and paid top dollar

More fool you !!!

All I can say is, I'm not from Aberdeen or associated with any member that has used Town and Country but I certainly wouldnt use them!! They sound like the dealers from Hell!!!

Before buying a product I always research it first and part of that is reading reviews on their faults and repairs/repairers - LR like any other car will and do go wrong BUT its how the repairs are carried out and the customer service you receive while these repairs and done that sticks with me.

I've nothing but praise for the AFTER sales manager there. He kept me in the loop constantly with regard to the ongoing repairs when my (ex) car was in. He and the receptionist fought endlessly for loan cars etc with LRA on my behalf!

Its when it got to 5 weeks and its 3rd breakdown I asked for a replacement and couldn't get anyone to even return my calls that it all started to fall down!

Davie is an LR trained technician to trade so why shouldn't he do his own repairs/servicing! I know I would once the car was out of warranty! Current, M135i in Estoril Blue with more extras than the cast of Ben Hur.

535d m-sport Platinum grey and a few extras.... Gone

X5 3.0 sd in Space Grey, 20's, Dynamic Pack, Memory Pack, Media Pack, Tow Pack, Rear DVD, Panoramic Sunroof, Steps, 7 Seat Pack, Reversing Camera with moving lines, programmable park heat, etc etc etc - Gone

Range Rover Sport Santorini, privacy, dvd, towpack GONE!!!

Lawzer i'd just like to clear things up for you.

Money is not an issue, i can assure you of that. I wasn't looking for bargins or pennie pinching, whatever my car needs it gets and has done since the day I bought it, warranty or not.

I actually know guys that work there and T n C were booked up 2 months in advance and my girlfriend needed the car so thats why the guys offered to do homer on my RRS.

If someone provides a service and gets paid for the service they are providing, surely the end result should be satisfaction on my behalf as i'm expecting a RRS thats fixed.

So Lawzer hopefully that will clear things up for you, and no a fiesta does not suit my wallet.
It's amusing how everyone becomes a big man hiding behind a computer.

And NickM as for Censored happens, hopefully you don't end up paying out for a few parts that your RRS DOESN'T need because i'm sure you will not be saying owell Censored happens.

Davie it does.... Censored does happen - I had an EGR valve done......was ordered, fitted my car was out of warranty......only a day to the actual day I had it changed - and I had to pay for it, and then when fixed.....when on a test drive, the other valve went.....yeah Censored happens, you get on with it, sort it out and move on....

What4Wheel went thru was on a huge scale, wasn't a little deal - so yeah, he has big beef to bear.....but when stuff goes wrong, turbos, valves, whatever....these are expensive cars, and if we had warranties, we wouldn't have to pay out - but i didn't - so it's stuff i take responsibilty for mate, I can cry about it, but you take it on the chin. Nobody will feel what you feel at the end of the day, it's personal to you.

Ok gentlemen, before things get out of hand.
I am not a plant- i do represent the After Sales dept at T&C, and a significant amount of the members in the Aberdeen area know me.
ALL vehicles fail at sometime, the cost of repairs are some times more than we would like, but some times they are less(occasionaly)(very occasionaly).
I feel I should respond to this thread for 1 reason. The vehicle concerned was NOT repaired at T&C, but as a homer in someones drive. As far as I can also accertain the vehicle was NOT purchased from T&C, but as a private sale.
The customer service provided by T&C name should not be mentioned, as we have not been given the opportunity to provide a service.
davie send me a pm and i will endeavour to help with the situation, via technical info or support.
I will now 'sling my hook'

As one of the customers that has had the pleasure of dealing with Bryan Errmmm.... I Mean "T&C After Sales" Whistle I would just like to welcome him to the Forum Thumbs Up I have had nothing but superb service from the whole team at T&C since giving them back my business from Fank Oggs, especially the After Sales Side. Lets face facts here chaps and chapesses, We all know that buying an LR product will throw up the odd hiccup with the car now and again. The important thing is that when these issues occur they are dealt with on a fair and equitable basis by all parties. My experience of Bryan and his team is if you are upfront and straight with them they will always repay you in kind.
I had a minor issue with my car where some of the shipping grease had not been fully removed from the lower parts of the vehicle and had then been supagaurded over. When I pointed out the problem area to T&C they were extremely apologetic and arranged for the car to be taken in today, completely removed the Supagaurd then the offending shipping grease (I think they call it Tar). They then re supagarded the whole car and the result is superb. Now, I accept that this should not have happened in the 1st place, but, there is no point getting bent out of shape about it when the dealer has immediatley held their hands up and then resolved the issue in such an efficent and professional manner. Thumbs Up Oh & cheers for the loan of your own RRS Bryan while mine was in the shop Thumbs Up I still prefer Black to White though... each to their own eh Whistle

On the issue raised by Davie Low..... I'm sorry M8 but I think you are well out of order laying your problems at T&C's door... You chose to get a homer done... That's your choice, but you cannot blame the place the the guy providing the "homer" works...... any issue is his personal fault NOT his employers!! I have NEVER heard of someone holding the employer of a person who provides a homer to someone responsible for the outcome of the homer! That is just ridiculous! The fact that Bryan is STILL willing to give you assistance if you PM him is typical of his helpful manner and you should "A" take advantage of his offer and "B" accept that none of your problems are of his or T&C's making. 2013 Discovery HSE Luxury - 3.0 SDV6 - Santorini Black
