New V6 3.0L Remap

Hi all

Has anyone chipped (remapped) their TDV6 3.0l and if so who did the job.
what is the performance and fuel economy like. not really worried about the fuel though.
what sort of cost are we looking at.

Cheers

Rica in the Netherlands has a tune:

Not much difference between a tuned TDV6 and TDV8, the TDV6 would be the better engine then, but in sound it would probably be the tdv8. RRS SDV6 HEV Dynamic

because the V8 is an old (albeit good!) engine in the new model, there is over £6000 difference between the two, but there is only approx 25bhp difference between the two engines, and 30lb/ft, so in my (humble) opinion, a £250 - £300 remap makes a lot more sense than a bigger heavier V8

Thanks for your reply's

My 07 has been chipped and i love it.
My new 2010 rrs is coming in two weeks so just seeing if any one has had a remap and what are there thoughts.
landrover have just lent me a new one as mine is in for some warenty work before they have it back.
the car is lovely, very quick already but could be quicker.

The V8 is great and sounds the mutts, but the way i drive the car would spend most of its time at ASDA filling up.
ouy contacts Director has one and if he boots it hes down to about 18.5 mpg, and as you say there not alot of difference
betwen the new V6 and the Old V8

New car will be Santorini black, black leather with contrast stich, tv dvds, heated steering wheel (a must living in Wales)
extended leather pack. Can't wait.

sounds exactly like my dream one! Which wheels have you gone for? What interior trim also? And finally did you choose the parking heater thing?

Hi
Ive gone for the dark wood as they won't let you pick the piano black on the TDV6 for some reason.
The wheels again, i wanted the five spoke supercharged but had to go with fifteen spoke. however there are a brand new set on fleabay so will probably get them. i will have wheels before the car.
I have also oppted for the premium logic 7 sound system.
I didn't go for the park heater. its very expencive for what it is. iI will just have to wear a coat on cold days.

see this is what Censored es me right off.

you are giving the dealer the best part of £50-ish K, and they cant give you a couple of simple options.

Piano black trim - it's bound to be cheaper than the wood, but they wont do it, and the 5 spoke wheels (which are my favourites too!) - they will only add them on at ~£300 per wheel.

robbing ba$tards....

I'll probably just stick with whatever rims they give me, or even spec 19s if they're cheaper, and stick some real mud-plugger tyres on the 19s, and keep them for winter use, and go for a set of 22s at a similar cost as to what LR are looking for their 20s.

I have a chip (tuning box) to fit to my 2010 TDV6 - I haven't as yet as I haven't run it in yet, but it claims to boost torque to 690 NM, which is more than the std TDV8.

Gordon, is that a Tunit box? I've been looking at those and would be interested in your impressions when you fit it.
