ride height sensors

Hi all
im thinking of changing both the rear ride height sensors, because firstly the rear sits slightly higher than the front and secondly the rear right corner is at a different hight altogether only slightly though.
when in access mode the rear right corner comes up red on the 4x4 screen. does this mean its too low?

anyway does anyone have a step by step guide on changing them?

thanks

There is a recall out for ride height sensors - worth a call to your dealer to see if affected Thumbs Up

Hi Maw

Do you have any info on the ride height recall? My car is going in on Friday to have the the front suspension knocking sorted, hopefully they will fit the mass dampers as in LTB 00241 so they could check this out as well if my car falls within the recall numbers.

Thanks

Jim

I thought i had a letter but that was for the braking recall - now i think about it there is a thread on here following a thread from D3... have to go out now and short of time but if you look back through my posts or maybe the search it'll come up....

Early Jan was my post on it IIRC....

I'll be back later and find it if it isn't found by then Thumbs Up

Thanks for the info MAW Thumbs Up I found your post and guess what mine falls right in the middle of the recall range!
I have only had the car for three weeks (2008TDV6) so I guess its possible that the previous owner may have had the recall notice.
Do you know of any other recalls that I should check out? I know it had the brake vacuum recall done but I guess there could be others.

Thanks for your help.

Jim

Just been to the dealer to check on the recall, he pulled out the jobsheet for this Fridays knocking problem work and said they had already added thie ride height recall to the worksheet.

Thanks to Chipperfield Landrover Thumbs Up Not had much to do with this dealer yet but so far very impressed.

Evening both - just back home Crying or Very sad thanks to the forum for the info i just remembered it and passed it on..... I haven't had the letter still, booked in for the brake issue and mentioned the height sensors - added to jobsheet. I think they phase the recalls around the country to spread demand - my bake recall came months after it was discussed here Rolling Eyes

Thumbs Up
