Can anyone identify the component that the xenon bulb fits into in the headlight of a 2006 RRS?
I think it may be the same component found on the Ford Focus & Mondeo but not sure.

Looking at the handbook the zenon bulb just seems to be held into the headlamp by a bent wire spring clip hinged on the headlamp. If it is a halogen bulb it is held in by an unattached pressed steel spring plate that isn't available from LR if you lose it - as someone downunder found out.

Bob no, but at this moment one gentleman from D3 site (TLO), i believe he is a parts managers from LR in Yeovil is looking through some of the breakers for me.. also one parts manager in OZ is also looking through any warranty returns.. Its a joke that you cannot get some thing simple as a Bulb retaining clip without the need to spend hundreds of dollars on a replacement unit..

At the moment i am using an "elastic band" to the rubber band its saving me a fortune

Glad to hear you managed a temporary fix.

It makes you wonder how many D3s and RRSs with halogen lights are running around with rubber band or other fixes without the owners knowing. After all if a dealer's technician drops that clip are they going to ask the boss if they can replace the whole headlamp and only charge the customer for a bulb?
