What model year is your Sport? My understanding is that MY08 and 09s (at least here in North America) have a way to reset the SII manually, without diagnostic tools needed... Try it out, worst case scenario it won't work and you'll be back to square one:

My belief is that since the European law changed to enable new cars to be serviced by other garages,and the warranty stay intact as long as genuine parts are used, that the service indicators must be able to be reset without the use of electronic kit.It might need the use of all your fingers and toes and a few Control Alt deletes but there will be a way. |

Block exemption regulations state that the independent garage should not be at a disadvantage, thus as long as the test equipment is available to us, we are on an equal playing field.
