Windows 7 GodMode

For any Windows 7 Users - discovered this today

God mode window shows nearly 50 sections with quick links to configuration options. you may find it easier than stumbling through Windows numerous screens and panels.

1. Create a new folder ( anywhere)

2. Rename the folder to GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C} (note that you can change the “GodMode” text, but the following dot and code number are essential).

3. The folder icon will change — double click it to show theGodMode window

4. Then pin it to your start menu

Great Shortcut

Cool Awesome Cool

How does it work by purely renaming the folder and not the shortcut location Question 4.4i V8 HSE G4 RRS.

basically because its not a shortcut - its an actual icon that wasn't launched with the package but still exists in the core. I've read it also works on 32-bit Vista too so its been around for a while

I think they mean System Preferences, you know the icon with the cogs on it. You might have used it when you personalised your mac all those years ago; PC owners seem to like fiddling with that sort of stuff Laughing [stands back and waits for howls and wines about market share etc etc etc] Whistle Porsche Cayenne S Diesel 66 Plate

Spot on - I always find it amusing how Mac users always want to start the arguement about whats best - Macs and PC's do many things the same and for these the MAC is superior - the PC is however a better all round tool and does many things the MAC can't do Thumbs Up

Using both PC and Mac I prefer the Mac, but neither is perfect. A Mac can do anything a PC can do because it can be a PC, a PC can't be a Mac. FWIW I think if you are techy and enjoy fiddling with the PC then they are the same; for those that don't want hassle the Mac is superior. I have only heard of one person having given the Mac a fair crack to go back to PCs. They bought an iMac and ended up using Boot Camp - they reckoned it was the best PC they had ever owned Laughing

Not a loaded question, but have you used Macs on a regular basis? Porsche Cayenne S Diesel 66 Plate

only use them at customers, however know them pretty well now

I should have added the reason they can't do everything is both a software and hardware reason - the majority of my systems are either RS232 or LAN controlled and require programming at core level - can't be done on a MAC (even using Boot Camp) as they lack both the hardware (twin RS232 ports) or available software at a competitive price

If I only used a PC at home then I would definitely move to a MAC
