United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Santorini Black
Real Life MPG / Fuel Economy

Hi All, not taken the plunge yet but would really like to know what some real world MPG are. I currently drive a car that sucks fuel anyway so it isnt a great concern, but would be great to know how close people get to stated MPG figures. (Average over time). I know there are lots of variables, how heavy the right foot is, type of driving etc but woucl be good to know. I have seen odd bits and pieces on this posted about the forum but no consolidated view - if there is a thread with this all in somewhere pleasse fe free to redirect me! Otherwise would be great to know:
Model
Stated COnsumption, Urban/ExtraUrban/Combined
Usual Drive (Motorway, Country lane, short hop etc)
Actual Average

Cheers

England 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV6 SE Java Black

2.7 TD v6

Real Average (ie not the lies told by the trip computer) over 6600 miles since October is 25.98 mpg
Best tankful was 31.48mpg on a trip from Northampton to Portpatrick in Scotland almost all motorway/dual carriageway
Worst tankful was 21.32mpg don't honestly know why, but it was using Tesco diesel which may be a factor (usually use Shell V-Power or BP Ultimate).

2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Zambezi Silver

2.7 TDV6

80% Mway at 75 / 85 gets me 22MPG

More city drops to 20MPG

I don't floor it too much, but also not too careful how hard I hit the loud button either Whistle

Have tried driving like a vicar with blisters on his feet, but got bored before any real data could be collected!

If you want good MPG, don't buy a RRS Thumbs Up (or anything else so nice, safe, stylish and capable)

Have heard Prius are quite good if you're after good MPG (if you can manage to stop it once you get it going) Rolling with laughter

Filled up this morning, drove around 100 miles, half motorway, half town/country, manually changed up the gears and got 27 mpg according to the computer - amazed !
