I did a lot of searching and finally found a couple of threads that have covered the same problem. It seems Bradders is right....it is a common problem. You almost think the designers did not apply a lot of brain in designing the interior or choosing the materials they were going to use |

My 5-series BMW does this in really cold weather. Something in the dash cracks as it warms up, and it's common according to the 5-series forums |

I used to own a 3 series before going for RR sport and that never creaked.....maybe the more money you spend the more sound effects you get for free. ![]() |
