Of course they deserve to win! What they do with their reward is totally up to them. Just because we like RR etc doesnt mean we are right. I love single malt at £30 and would turn away some of the more peaty ones.

After all if we all liked the same things we should be transported back to communist Russia and drive Ladas!! Now - MY11 RRS Autobiography TDV6, Orkney gray, tints, steps, daylight running lamps and allllll the toys!!!

IMO some of them do not deserve to win - it is not because they aren't buying a RR

My point is some do not appreciate or deserve it. Most of that £50M will not do a thing.

IMO no one should win £50M on the lottery - it would do more good spread around further...

My opinion and I am sticking to it Whistle Laughing

You pays your money and you take your chance! £50M is perk of being a winner.

Some may say we earn too much if we can afford to run a RRS - All perceptions and envy.

Good luck to them - I dont buy many lottos and I dont begrudge the winners anything.

British thing I think - We knock winners Yawn Now - MY11 RRS Autobiography TDV6, Orkney gray, tints, steps, daylight running lamps and allllll the toys!!!

I personally do not knock winners - you work for it you deserve it - but some do not deserve it, just as in business as in life - some freewheel and get away with it - some work and deserve it.... employee ? employer? employed ? ......

Earning is much much different from expecting or receiving or being given....

Must be a lotto winner on here Whistle

Speculate to accumulate ? Dont see much difference between a lotto winner and a city trader, at least I would assume a lotto winner used his own money to stake a chance - controversial as Mr B Elton would say!!

Lotto Winners? Very astute MAW - I won a tenner in 2004 Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter Now - MY11 RRS Autobiography TDV6, Orkney gray, tints, steps, daylight running lamps and allllll the toys!!!

What an unusual argument Laughing

The Lotto is just that, a one in several million chance that a quid spent will get you a large amount of money in return. It's just luck - and if you're lucky enough to win a multi-rollover, then well done - can't imagine why anyone would begrudge that chance of anybody else.... Rolling Eyes

You might be right, some winners don't deserve it (like that guy who built that racetrack in his back garden and spent his winnings being a neighbour from hell) - but it's not like the Lotto is a one way street, an amount of funding goes to some quite worthy causes (ok, you can argue maybe not enough, but...)

....aaaand, off the soapbox Wink

Buying a Vauxhall Insignia doesn't figure in my Lottery winning plans.................................... but then neither does buying a Ferrari or any other so called supercar or superuber saloon mainly because I will never win the lottery unless I buy some tickets. My 2/6d, 10/- and £1 Premium bonds bought between 1958 and 1965 haven't coughed up 1d (or 0.5p!) in 50 years so I don't hold out much hope of making much from them either! Cannot even buy a Mars bar or a bag RBMM with the money I would get back from cashing some of them in either! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

Spot on S Thumbs Up

Some win and IMO don't deserve it, many other more deserving causes out there. Some that win deserve some but ....IMO £50M is a waste if it will not be made benefit of, £1M is a bit of cash and could serve many very well...

It could lead to business startups, employment and shared prosperity..... £50M largely unspent and largely put to no use but a banks IMO is a waste.....

.... time for the keys on this thread ? Whistle

Laughing
