Hi im Russ, im picking up my 56 bonetti grey RRS HSE next sat and im like a kid waiting for christmas.
im 27 from essex and this will be my first 4x4 after years of owning everything from a 1 of a kind focus to a e46 M3. i caught the RRS bug after borrowing my sisters 59 plate java for a weekend last month and was outside the local stealers the next morning. ill post a few pics up next weekend. fantastic owners site btw already found loads of tips and ideas.

Just registered on here to add to my old memberships of Disco3.co.uk and Freel2.co.uk, so hello to anyone who remembers me from there (although it's quite a while since I've been active)

Anyway, went into dealers today to look at the option of trading my Freelander 2 for a 3.0TDV6 SE in Bali Blue. Dealer came up with some figures that are just about in reach, but I've just got to wait and see if LR Finance continue their 0% APR Advance Purchase Plan beyond the end of March...

If they do and I can tie up a good deal then I'm sure I'll become a regular on here while I wait the couple of months it's probably going to take!

I'm on the verge of ordering a RRS 3.0 in Bali Blue - Ocean or Ebony/Lunar.
Still hesitating though between buying it from a local reputed dealer or directly in London.
The latter LR dealer is 10 % cheaper, but I wonder if after-sale and warranty will be
honored the same here.

Is that 10% off list price? If so, that's MASSIVE! The best I've been able to negotiate has been between 5-6%. What's the dealer?

If you mean will after-sales and warranty be the same at your local dealer if you buy from another, then the answer should be yes - it's LR paying for this work, not the dealer. About aftersale, this is the theory, yes. I've heard horror stories
with clients havingto wait in the end of the queue, after "locals"
who bought locally, because dealers would consider them second
rate customers costing but not buying.
Knowing the mitigated track record of LR reliability, I'm just pondering
price versus troublefree usage.

Hi all, new to the board, just bought a 55 RRS HSE 2.7 TDV6, Java/Alpaca.

The plan: 20" or 22" alloys, Side Steps, Rubber Mats & Bootliner, Colour coding, Exhaust trims, possibly 2010MY front & side grills.

Tracker - is it worth it? My s/h RRS came with it fitted but Tracker want £30 to sign up and £350 for lifetime membership. Not sure the insurance discount is worth that much!

Servicing - has anyone carried out their own servicing on their RRS? I cant seem to find any information on this anywhere.
I've always serviced my own cars, Porsche 944 lux, Audi A4 Cab etc. Cant see why the Sport would be any harder, anyone have experience of doing this?
