BMW Engined Range Rovers?

Can someone tell me what year Range Rovers used the 3.0 BMW engine?
The reason I ask, is Im looking to buy one, but I own a E39 BMW 525d Sport Auto and these have a common fault regarding the swirl flaps falling off. Do the range rovers also suffer from this?

IIRC the 3.0 BMW engine in FFRR was from launch in 2002 until the TdV8 became available in 2006. But try the guys on fullfatrr.com for problem issues.
