HiFi CD player

Looking for a good quality CD player.

My list of possibles so far can't get past the Arcam CD37.

Anyone got any other ideas for me to explore Question TDV6 - gone

Well its the Pioneer PD9-MK2 that won in the end at nearly half the price of the Arcam CD37. TDV6 - gone

I'm with the PPE, I am an Arcam guy through and through, sorry Josh, I wish you well with the Pioneer - it's not a bad choice we all like different things I just wished I could have stopped you before you bought your X5 (sorry, Pioneer Rolling with laughter )

The Pioneer gear is extremely good - on par with the Arcam for sure

I think I will be ok with that model chaps - very high spec.

I've known the dealer for about 20 years and he is an Arcam dealer as well. So I think if the Pioneer had been as bad as you suggest he would have pointed me at the Arcam readily given that he would have made more money. But that's not the case this time........so Arcam need to keep an eye out at the competition.

Good set of interconnects will make a difference of course, so I will have to borrow a few before I buy. Added to which I've already got good speakers backed up with a Rel sub. TDV6 - gone
