Re: Which weigh more OE Stormers or OE Supercharger 20"

Hi guys, after going through some posts on here and frequently coming across the infamous 'steering damper' issue on earlier RRS non-supercharged models affecting upgrading to 20" wheels - I wanted to know if anybody out there knew which weigh less, the Stormers or Supercharger wheels?

Obviously there have been many people who have upgraded with non-damper steering with no issues, but just to make a lesser difference when changing 19" HSE wheels, wondered which weigh less out of the 2 OE 20" wheels, or are we talking negligible amounts?

Any body out there have any ideas or done similar research? Thanks in advance...

Do you know you have the non-damped rack? I think by the time the models built into 2006 were coming out, they all had the damped rack which would make your upgrade to 20s painless anyway. There's a thread on here, which you've likely seen, which shows you how to check whether you're damped or not Very Happy

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black

Hi shmoogle, I have since joining the site realised the car is a Sep 2005 55 reg car not a 2006 55 reg car as I had first thought. I did try and check the pics and diagrams put up but still have absolutely no idea what I'm looking for when I look behind the wheel Sad so still haven't 100% confirmed it but the chassis number does fall between the range posted in here which represent the non-damper steering... Has anyone got any photos to help check, I can PM with an email address??...

Thanks again...
