United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Santorini Black
New RR on the block with a few issues.

Just got my hands on a 56 reg RR sport last week from a prestige dealer, hence under a six months warranty. Took it for a major service today and they flagged up the following items:

-Front anti-roll bar bushes worn, require replacing
-Play in both lower arm ball joints, and slight play in OS upper ball joint
-Slight Oil leak from A/gearbox harness, requires seal, harness, g/box filter and sump gasket.

Would any of these repairs be covered under warranty and if not are they major jobs? Also, are any of these issues covered under any bulletins by the company?

As I am a bit obsessive I like my cars to be in mint condition and that includes what is under the bonnet. I hate driving around knowing there is a problem that needs fixing. Any tips will be gratefully received.

Car details are RR sport 2.7 V6 HSE, Black. Never argue with an idiot as he will drag you down to his level and then beat you with experience.

Welcome to the forum
Is this "prestige" dealer a Land Rover dealer or non franchised? If the latter then I think you will be claiming back from the warranty. I think most LR dealers would class the suspension problem as a "characteristic" but the the oil leaks would depend on whether the car has a full LR dealer service history. Land Rovers are complex cars and need to be looked after by properly trained techies, not the local corner garage 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Hi Tim, the dealer is a non franchised dealer. Does it make a difference?

Thanks. Never argue with an idiot as he will drag you down to his level and then beat you with experience.

Flybouy I have edited my post above. If I were you I would get hold of the local Land Rover club and sus out where the local non-franchised specialist service guys are. There are 4 specialist magazines that are all stocked at WH Smith where you will get plenty of info. Members on here also know of places they can recommend 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Okay, will have a word with the dealer to see if he agrees to fixing any of the problems mentioned. Not holding my breath though. Thanks for the tips though. Never argue with an idiot as he will drag you down to his level and then beat you with experience.
