Painting alloy wheels

Just had one of my wheels resprayed (2009 RRS SC) but was curious if anyone had ever painted their own? I have watched Youtube and it looks fairly simple and there are some companies sell kits. Would also need to know type of silver paint. Any ideas appreciated!! Cheers! Mike mike murphy
