Have 9000 miles on my MY10 RRS (5.0 petrol, N/A). Decided to get an oil change - thought that the scheduled 15k miles were just too many for a 1st change. My local dealer said that they didn't have pricing from LR North America for the service, so I was asked to pay an arbitrary amount - $190! The same service for a 2009 is about $90.

Did they use the "drain" or "suck" method to get the old oil out? Unlike 2005-2009, the 2010 shop manual lists both as part of the oil change procedure, not sure if it's because some Land Rover engines no longer include a drain plug or because the vacuum method might be faster... |

While I was watching, they only drained. They tell me they siphoned oil at the end, but it's still not entirely clear to me why they wanted me to return urgently for them to "make sure it was done correctly." Turns out, they had to add oil as per the in dash oil level display. Scuderia RR
