Bluetooth compatibility or integration?

New member looking to purchase a RRS HSE and a bit confused. Looked at on that stated bluetooth compatibility and when me and the salesman went to the car - no bluetooth.

I am now looking at a similar one online at a LR dealer that states Bluetooth Integration - will that have the bluetooth? Looking at HSEs they all have a mix of integration and compatibility which is confusing me.

I ask, as both salesmen were admament their cars were bluetooth, until I proved one wrong. I dont want a trip to Yorkshhire to find out eh car isnt ready for my phone and I need to spend more.

Many thanks

All RRS's with PTI are bluetooth enabled. A simple check is to see if the steering wheel has green and red phone phone buttons on it. If it has then you are BT enabled. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Azerbaijan 2010 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Alaska White

Hi,

I faced with problem in my RR Sport Supercharged 2010. There are buttons on the steering wheel and phone menu in the system. When I tried to fit my cell phone via bluetooth, phone didn’t find anything. So I tried with different phones, same result. In LR service everybody was surprised why it doesn’t operate. After the deep investigation they figured out that there's no bluetooth integration in my car. So be careful, buttons on the steering wheel doesn't mean that car has bluetooth system.

When I replied to this post I was under the impression that you were looking at a pre 2010 MY RRS. I don't think LR offer a wire telephone connection anymore so if your order states PTI it will have BT. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Just looked at the LR website and BT is standard on all UK models. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

hi VA

Both HSEs are pre MY10 - April 07 reg and 55 Reg. I looked at parkers guide [I sense banter oncoming now!] and it states:

Personal telephone integration system with bluetooth
cost option£350 Launch Oct 2006
Standard Oct 2006 Now

The Silver HSE I looked at was a 55 plate and the compatability was there but obviously, now, the first owner hadnt spent the £350 to integrate it.

The car I am now awaiting is an 07 so its all in there and been checked by supplying dealer.

As its a UK spec I imagine my query is now covered, thanks to all.

Sorry Jahinger that I cant help you more. Now - MY11 RRS Autobiography TDV6, Orkney gray, tints, steps, daylight running lamps and allllll the toys!!!

PTI was only standard on the SC back in 2005 - mine was a 55 plate HSE and it was an option on mine. I think as Parkers states, it became default on the HSE for MY07 (i.e. Sep 06 builds and on).

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

Wasn't there also a BT module that you could have as a dealer fit kit that didn't have the steering column buttons. I seem to recall somebody last year buying one from an ebay store and then couldn't get all the functions that he thought he should be able to get on the factory fitted PTI. Basically what he got was a hands free answering device like a very basic Parrrott. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
