I bet values of all used cars will plummet in the next 3 -6 weeks when dealers have car parks full of trade-in from everybody who has tried to beat the VAT increase. Tim,

I've got nothing coming in as PX between noew and 31st, as we have run out of stock! If this is representitive of the network (which it is as I understand) then I wouldn't expect values to drop.

There is a shortage of good RRS stock at the moment, therfore this should help, as opposed to this time last year when dealers were trying to liquidate their used cars.

Most dealers will be trying to reduce their used stock for the Christmas period due to the amount of capital tied up, therefore I am trying to value and purchase stock for early Jan.

James, I can back up that - the sales team in the local dealership were all bored out of their minds last week when I collected the Sport after its service. books at 34k miles so lower miles than the average but only adds £100

Retail - £36,000
Trade - £32,800

Depending on the colour and condition its sounds likes a good sellable car and good news for a dealer.

It went up around £650 quid this month, mostly due to the VAT increase but id also expect the seasonal demand and current weather would also be having an affect.
