OK.......I know its not a RRS but:

2006 (06 plate) VW Golf Tdi SE, 80500 miles, full VW service history, 4 new tyres, metalic grey, timing belt changed at 70k, in overall good / very good condition.

Any chance you can give me an idea of price for private and trade??

  A good friend of mine is getting rid of his RRS. Been offered a horrific trade in against a new Sport, so is going to try and sell it privately. 

Car is a 2006MY/56 plate, HSE Spec, 117k miles. Bodywork is absolutely immaculate, you would not know it had done 17k miles, never mind 117k. Green in colour, with tan leather (IIRC) Just had Cambelts done, Serviced, EGR's blanked, Remap, Decat, front-rear brake pipes, 4x new complete struts and airbags, both rear upper and lower wishbones, rear discs and pads, front pads, 2x new tyres, rear wheel bearing, autobox oil and filter, and all other trans. oils Also recently had both front lower and upper wishbones replaced 

All the work was done with the intention of keeping the car for another 3-4-5 years or so, but he has been tempted into a 2012MY. I know it's a little high in the miles which will detract from the price a bit, but what is it realistically worth? Thanks in advance

If I were to buy his car I would pay £11-£12k.

In comparison I have just sold my RRS 2006 HSE model with genuine 39000 miles on the clock and in excellent condition as I got a trade in price from my local dealer of 14k. I sold this for 17k.

It's worth selling privately if you can deal with some of the tyre kickers etc but I was lucky in the respect that I knew someone who wanted a sport.

I think I got a reasonable price for the car . It is what it is and I am what I am....

Its a 55 plate HSE, 139,000 miles, FSH, 22" Stormer Wheels, 2 Keys etc..

I have had a look on autotrader and the figure seems to be around the 16k mark?

Would this be reasonable?

We are thinking of selling our April 2012 (12 plate) BMW 1 Series Sports Plus Edition Convertible.
It is Carbon Black, black leather interior, 4,500 miles with every extra apart from auto box.

big service has been done which is a 1k bill from LR

id say private sale its going to be the lower end. 16k would be a bargain but i wouldn't be paying over 17k private or trade.

its worth noting they went up in price this month, as the temp drop i expect they to climb further in dec and jan, poss feb if we get heavy snow.
