Having just had my house broken into, keys stollen and my RRS stolen and then experience how effective Tracker is finding the car I wonder why there is not a way of advertising on the car that it is fitted with a tracker as it would have avoided all the inconvenience and cost.

Would it not be better if Range Rover installed a tracking device as standard, perhaps thieves would avoid them then.

Easy really, there are only so many places on a car to hide a tracker and most fitters put them in the same place (for that model). If you know it is there, it will not take very long to hack it out and kill it (it is not much bigger than a packet of ciggies). The longer it is on, the more chance the rozzers have got for locating the signal.

On a BMW they often hide it on the A or B pillar. I watched them hide one once on my old 645.

RRS HSE TDV6 gone after 15 months since new - will not be missed I'm afraid - bit of a gremlin in there somewhere - too many issues. Replaced with FFRR Vogue TDV8 - very nice - not as sporty (of course) but absolute luxury.
