Italy 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black

Bought the car used with 47k km and original Pirelli P Zero Rosso tyres .. completely worn.
Now I have Hankook, very cheap and good on dry tarmac.

Some concerns actually on humid (not completely wet) surfaces, but I do not know whether or not it depends upon the lwidth of the tyres (275)

Just bought Yoko W Drive for winter situatins, just going to installe them in a couple of weeks. My gallery: http://www.rrsport.co.uk/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=994

Mine came with Goodyears Wrangler F1.

Going 50 km/h, i had to make an slightly abrupt braking.
With all my previous cars, this would be a non mentioning event.
But in the all mighty RRS, to my surprise, i started sliding.....and not a little.....

So for this reason i decided to change these perfectly good Goodyears for.....Contis!

Got several offers, best ones are (2 different shops) 178 pound or 189 euro incl tax.
per tyre (275 / 40 / 20 Y106).

My father in law has them on his car and they are very good- I will also buy them when I will have to replace my Contis. Those tires also have good grip on snow for the summer tires (also have M&S mark on tires even though they are summer tires), very good in rain and they dont wear so quick as Contis. Hope it helps 2008 RRS TDV8 HSE, Java black, Alpaca,.....

Just cast my vote.

I only had the original Continental till now, wich I had to replace because of the outside wear at only 25000Km(more or less)
Still had plenty of thread on it but the outside was gone and it would have been a problem to explain to the police that this is a "feature of the contis.

Now I have only 2000Km on the Hankook but they seems very good, time will tell '08 RRS TDV8
I converted my diesel RRS to run on an environmentally friendly mixture of caribou fat and baby seals oil

Trying these too, got them cheaper than I could get the Contis for localy too.
At least the contis on the RRS lasted a bit longer than the contis on the MG, on the MG I was lucky to get 4000 miles out of them, Toyos work a lot better on the MG Smile Sons of dogs come hither and get flesh

Gave the PZeros a little workout yesterday on my favorite corner
With the Goodyear MT/R the DRS cuts in a little before 80km/h, Contis make it to about 87km/h and the PZeros made 100km/h before the DRS cuts in, oh, and the wife was not happy with me at that speed Twisted Evil
The wife's Focus is sliding at 80km/h on the same corner Sons of dogs come hither and get flesh

I could vote but can't see the point as I have only used Conti's (it's what came on the car and I haven't had to change yet) and the poll is asking for what people prefer - not what they have on their car.. I imagine most RRS owners replace like for like so are not able to state their preferance based on experience.. Also, many people will, no doubt, vote for the cheapest so the validity of the poll is in question anyway..

still... makes for an interesting read...

Pirelli Scorpian 275/40/20 are the best I've found for the road, dry or wet, great corning without edge wear as long as you make sure you keep them at the right pressure.

But don't try and go on even a slightly muddy bit of field or grass Embarassed (Worse I've found, my old X-Trail put it to shame)

Got plenty of miles out of them, but watch out for side wall damage, cuts or BULGES, I found them very easy to damage.
