Considering installing these links in my RRS, anybody have any experience of them ??

The seller obviously knows how to make his pages stand out though... all those badly scaled photos and a pic of an R8 labelled Range Rover Sport - well done. Sorry, but that sort of thing really winds me up.... if you want to sell stuff on eBay don't make yourself look like an idiot in the process

if the advert shows a careless approach, doesn't say much for the product.

Looking at the photos, I wouldn't say that they are much of an endorsement of the product either. The cars look like they are on 22's and in access mode, so not a demo of the product IMHO.

On a question of modding the suspension with non LR parts, I wouldn't. The ride and handling is crucial for such a large and heavy car, muck it up and you have a dog's breakfast. And I don't like Pedigree Chum.

P.S. Now if I could lick my balls, I wouldn't need to leave the house.

I personally think it's risky to mess around with non LR parts especially with the suspension area. It might expediate the known issue with the anti roll bar bushes further.

Have checked the feedback left and everybody that has purchased them has been pretty happy. He has sold a few to RRS owners (you need to check the feedback he leaves the buyers to identify which car).

Sorry for my ignorance, but how do these work?? I thought the ride height was controlled by a module .. do these alter the height of sensors somewhere???

Not really sure myself I do know is that they replace the original ride height sensor type device in the suspension. Then you can alter how low or high the car sits by extending or reducing the length of these links. Unless anybody else can shed some light on the subject.

I have drove my mates sport with the links fitted and it drove very bouncy and hard would not advise getting it lowered with links!!!
Also access mode no longer works!!!

Shuzzy I've got these links on my RRS and have had them on over a year they r fine mate, had them on my previous X5 too, just stiffens the ride a little but nothing drastic, it sits much betta on the road tho and handles better too and doesn't have that boaty feeling anymore that u get on a motorway Java black 2006

They are put tem on my car for around 20 mies and took them off.

The ride was terrible and on closer inspection they buil quality is questionable to say the least. Save yourself the money and give them a swerve

My car rides perfectly fine no different to fittin a set of lowering springs to other cars some people like the ride n some people don't it's all down to taste, if u wind these links down to far the ride would b terrible but that wud b a stupid thing to do anyway, the quality in the ones I got were exactly the same as the OEM ones that came off, Shuzzy if u ever get near Newcastle I can show u mine on the car Java black 2006

Actually, there is a difference in lowering the EAS to lowering a 'normal' suspension: the spring rate does not increase or decrease significantly with raising or lowering the EAS. Despite sounding a bit counter-intuitive at first, you are actually not increasing or decreasing the pressure in the air springs on raising or lowering; you are simply increasing or decreasing the volume of air in the air springs. So lowered or raised you have the same spring rate or 'stiffness'.

If there is a significant difference in ride, it can only be due to the dampers being firmer at a lower setting. I can't substantiate this - but we've had reports of no change in ride to firmer ride to softer ride (true!) on the RRS. There is a long section of thread on this in the RRS forum on RR.net.
