England 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black

I actually had a set of these fitted to my Q7.

All they do is alter the distance between the sensor and the floor so they trick the ECU into thinking the car is at a different height from the ground than it actually is. Most cases it means the car drops lower to the floor.

Easy to fit, done by a mechanic friend in about 25 minutes. Obviously on the lowest setting the car drives very firm indeed but during normal "raised" driving it felt exactly the same. I had the car 6 months without them, and 6 months with them fitted and I didn't notice any difference.

Excuse the poor pics!

That is on the lowest setting so I didn't drive around like that, just when parked up!

I wouldn't have any issues using these guys again :)

Exactly. If the links are longer than oem, the vehicle thinks it is higher than it actually is and lowers the suspension. If the links are shorter than oem, the vehicle thinks it's too low and raises the suspension.

Low tech. Laughing

The EASControl writes new values to the EAS ECU.

The YouTube link in my last post shows the use of the EASControl on a RRS and the vehicle lowering its suspension. The entire vid is 51sec long. And no need to crawl under the car.

Oh, absolutely! I'm a huge fan of the KISS principle. But now you can have the high tech solution for roughly the same price - and lower or raise the vehicle at will and in seconds.

I agree with Steve... I've adjusted my EAS a few times before finding the right combination of ride height v's comfort..and all it involved was a few button presses.. no jacking up the car! RRS gone

Don't get me wrong, I agree too!

If I could have found an easier method for the Q7, definitely the route I would have taken but the Q7 had no lovely forum with people helping out, so had to stick with my friend Google! Laughing LCFC. Receiver of threatening letters from Overfinch.

I'm quite sure you wouldn't have found anything like the EASControl anyway. AFAIK there is nothing else similar on the market for any air sprung vehicle. An OEM level diagnostic system will allow the recalibration of the EAS - and it can be calibrated lower or higher than the factory settings - but it is a considerably more involved process than adjusting the height with the EASControl.

So for your Audi, you did fine. Your RRS is another matter.. Whistle

Our worldwide distributor is Britpart. As their dealers are allowed to set prices to reflect costs (shipping, import duty, etc), they ask us not to give out prices. You can either contact Britpar ( http://britpart.com/lcdlr.asp?PageRef=13 ), find your local dealer and ask or just google EASControl or IIDTool. In the first two pages of results you'll have about 4-5 online retailers. This gives a very good indication of the price.

Sorry, I'd love to just post a price...

Hi Kensta,
Yes it is DA 4623. It's actually GBP226 (I assume you mean in this auction http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Land-Rover-Range...2c6120a6bf ). I know the online retailer has a good reputation. You could mail him and ask for a better price.

I have also seen them available for less from online retailers - google EASControl + price. Bottom of the first page of hits for me. Feel free to post your results here!

The lowering links seem to have gotten less expensive too (maybe due to the electronic competition :-p ). They use to run between GBP130-250. The hardware value is actually only about GBP20...

At the end of the day, if you were to purchase the hardware and put together links yourself you'd probably save close to GBP150 over the EASControl. But you won't have the convenience, the quick restore to oem, memory for different height profiles, the fault code read/clear, and last but not least, the cool-factor.
