Apparently the manufacturing company have gone out of business, LR are on credit hold, the moon is in the wrong place, the price of chocolate has doubled, etc, etc,.........all the usual excuses!

Anybody else heard about this?'' .

There is absolutely no substitute for a genuine lack of preparation.


TDV8 HSE MY10 with pretty much everything including a vase of daffs on the back shelf, tropical fish collection in the centre console, hamsters in the spare tyre and finally sheep on the passenger seats.....for weight distribution, what else??

Yeah, I was told this by several dealers, when looking for mine. I was told that it was pulled until early in the new year, when it would re-appear on the options list. They will not take orders for it until then.

I placed a deposit on one this morning, with camera system - so some must be coming through with it fitted. As far as I know, the FFRR has been coming in with them fitted, so the decision is recent.

I did question the story of camera shortages with one dealer - I import approx. 15m usd of camera equipment every year (CCTV industry), and although there are shortages from time to time, now is not one of them. I did ask, without reply, whether the supply company were having issues.

Hope mine does indeed come with it fitted, as a special check was made on this very point - it is due in October.

yup was at CHPR earlier today and it seems no more 360 camera . Which is one of the main options i was looking forward to. So if i wait till new year for it i have to pay the increase in VAT. Which effectively means ill be paying like £1500 more on a spec'd up TDV8 just to have the camera system . WINNER - 2008 Best All New Photograph

There are a few Surround Camera cars in the network, therfore if you really want the option then you may find one out there. If you do then the chances are it will be a physical car, so you could also possibly benifit from the 5.9% PCP or 0% APP for September!

I got an email from LR today saying that at the moment the 360 system is not available If by the time my car goes into production (completion 10/11) they are still not ready, they will give me a refund!! I have written back saying I will wait as I feel that an SC without it will be affected on re-sale?? Thoughts??? I agree I would wiat to, as the resale value will be affected and as I said on the other post Wokka don't except those wheels they make the car look cheap.

ok, latest update is that the camera issue is a real problem for LR... the cars that were in the system with cameras were due to have them, now the factory are saying they cannot commit, but are working on it.
