Possible cure for iPhone power consumption

I find that if I forget to put power down the screen of my iPhone the battery doesn't last very long. Sometimes I accidentally switch it back on when it's in a jacket pocket too.................
In the Sunday Times Magazine this weekend there was slimline external battery pack being advertised so I thought I would try one. Ordered it yesterday morning 1st thing and it has just arrived. It looks like a protective sleeve for the iphone, just a little thicker and it only weighs a few grams so doesn't ad much weight. It isn't designed to be used on the iPhone all the time but it's like those external power packs you can buy for laptop/notebook computers, this little thing just slides over the iphone like a sleeve. Bought it from these guys http://www.mophieuk.com/
Only drawback I can see so far is that it has another different micro USB..................... when will we get a standardised micro USB system Big Cry

Makers claims:- Standby time up to 270 hours, Talktime up to 4.5hours on 3g and 9 hours on 2g iphones, Internet use - up to 4.5hours on 3g and 5.4hours on wifi, Audio playback up to 20 hours and video playback is up to 6 hours extra on top the standard battery life 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

When I first got my iPhone it would charge via the iPod dock in the car now it won't and it will only charge via it's own supplied USB cable. maybe it is just a co-incidence but it started this after the last firmware update. Sons of dogs come hither and get flesh
