Vanker Is Back! New 2010 SC ????

Hi there. Vanks...............Back!

been away for a while, buying defenders...........see the hated drivers thread!

Anyway, my beloved wants a new 5 litre SC RRS, but blimey why dont Landrover do a 'Proper White'? Its a yuk cream white, and she want full Bling...........Audi type white!

Overfinch will doubtless charge a fortune? Discuss.

is the new engined car as good asit sounds, just waiting for Dick turpin and his side kick from Bedford to try and get us a demo?

Main Dealers, blimey I thought Robin Hood was dead! Rolling Eyes

Very much alive and working from Park Royal! Laughing

Our 5.0 SC RRS has been delayed (Alaska incidentaly), however we have a FFRR SC if you want to have a drive to get an idea? I'll be off site tomorrow but feel free to call my ankerman Matthew Gurney on 0208 992 2299 who will gladly book a time for you to come down.

In my opinion the new engine is at least 35% better in all respects. Wink

James Thumbs Up

I agree about the white - am looking to purchase a white one, and CHPR are assisting me, but yes the white isn't a bright white white.....more cream.....but still good....colour coding is needed, just need to be careful what bits to do and not to do, as i don't want it looking like an ambulance....

Hi.

nice offer but, the white is all wrong, and the full size one is just not the same is it? I was hoping to borrow one for a weekend or something in order to establish just what its like to live with after the V8 diesesl. Followed a transporter full yesterday and a couple were 'Cream'. Since when was the snow and ice in 'Alaska', cream i ask you?

What are the possibilities of having one in the right white?

Surely it cant be too big an ask can it??? I think more people than ever before now want white, if you arent quick Landrover will miss the boat on the 'new black', and peeps will all buy BM's! Shocked

You can have whatever colour you like via Special Vehicles. Last one we did was a while back and was just over £12,000. A small price to pay for your preferred shade. Shocked

I think you could be wrong there, I happen to know that Mercedes employees may in most classes not order white cars as company cars anymore because they think they will not be able to sell white cars in one or two years. Right now it still sells great but maybe that "hype" is over before the development cost of a new colour can be earned by selling it. Confused Nevertheless I would also have it in white, it looks great in white. James's offer sounds good to me (although very expensive, it costs less than half of that to do it at Mercedes, Audi, BMW or Porsche where they can paint your car in the colour of the wifeys lipstick - which unfortunately happens more often than you would expect Rolling Eyes Confused ) and since it will be the only "proper white" RRS SC you will surely one day be able to sell it very fast, easy, and expensive. Thumbs Up Cool

If you want to go a cheaper way because you don't want to keep it for long (but why would you? Wink ): You could order the standard beige-white one and then do something like this: http://diefolierer.de (Sorry, didn't find an English page about it, but I think it is quite understandable.) I've seen it a couple of times and if the foil colour is similar to the original colour you won't recognize it to be a foil at all and the best thing: You can take it away before selling and have an original painted car which looks like new! Smile

edit: I don't know the named company neither have I ever seen work of this specific company. It was just an example of one of these companies and I found it via google, so it's no suggestion or anything like that.  RRS TDV6 HSE, 2006, bonatti grey, ebony interior, rear diff, s/c grille and vents, stormers, privacy, tasmods, iphone integration Wink

Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW
