the word Ghetto springs to my mind with parts of London, schools where the proportion of pupils with English as their first language is in the minority. This doesn't mean the majority are bilingual.

Areas of East London have traditionally had high immigration for hundreds of years due to the proximity of the Docks, and this immigration has previously been quite good for the area. But there is no longer integration of these communities, creating no go areas.

More like a free ride for anyone who can get into this country illegally. Putting a strain on Health services and Schools, by people who have and are making no contribution to society, and Central Govt ignoring the problem. No additional funding for the areas dumped upon, which are generally poor, whilst the Do Gooders live in their leafy roads in Hampstead reading the Guardian.

By the way my Father and Grand Parents were legal immigrants to the UK from Ireland, and paid tax and NI all their lives, contributing to society. Yet they received some resentment at the time.

The resentment now is not racial, it's about the free ticket to ride the UK bus to the benefits office without contributing anything to society.
