Scotland 2009 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Stornoway Grey

I've ordered the black interior with contrasting stitching........

Was suggested by the dealer that the Alcantra looks good initially, but probably wouldn't be quite so pristine after a couple of years.....seemed like decent advice. .

There is absolutely no substitute for a genuine lack of preparation.

United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Santorini Black

My dealer was saying that word is some dealers had been caught out with pre-launch orders by the HSE's coming with alcantra, and that they were now pretty much ordering all cars with full leather.

Must admit that my significantly better half has the Mercedes version of Alcantra on her ML, which is now a few years old and it looks great and much less of a shock to the system on a cold morning!'Shocked'

But if they're using the same material as the Freeloader suffers from, it looks pretty shabby after 20k miles.

I'm too much of a coward to order anything apart from full leather as it will certainly make the car easier to sell in a couple of years.........'Very Happy' .

You would think so, but I have it in 2 other cars with black interiors and white stitching, one with 40k miles and they both look pretty good.

I must admit that I do use a leather cleaner on the seats every blue moon, which seems to keep them in good condition. .

Interesting how quickly the market changes..........

Just 6 weeks delivery after ordering last month with a decent discount on my car, a collegue who needs to replace his car within the next 4 weeks is after a MY10, TDV6 in white and has been informed that its possibly December and very little discount! 'Mad' .

United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Santorini Black

Unnecessary quote removed

They do seem to be selling well. I expect if he goes for a different colour he'd get one. My dealer has cars, but they all have massive spec's and hence are quite pricey.

While I do like the options available on the 2010MY, most are a bit gimmicky and have no real everyday use for me. My car has min spec. (privacy, paddle shift and premium leather), my only other want, was a heated steering wheel, but to get it, I would have to spend an extra 2000+ quid on a car already built, just to get what is a 200 quid option. 2010MY Land Rover Freelander 2 HSE
