Some good threads about this on disco3.co.uk, complete with pictures - just go there and search for "egr" or look in their maintenance section. Best to get the valves blanked to avoid future problems - Bell Auto Services sell a kit - their no. is at the top. edit: here you go, full instructions: http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic31658.html |

Price around as regards to remaps as there is a vast difference in price for the same thing. In Ireland it is a very big business and there are very good companies who also rolling road and live map for £250 for a Range Rover where as on the mainland it seems to start at £500+ You can also have a map "flashed" onto te ECU then tweeked to your vehicle so shop around. Mine has been rolling road tested at just over 260bhp on a fast road map and is returning an average of 28-33mpg depending on if it does the school run or not. also drivability is vastly improved as is off boost acceleration. However get all issues sorted, the EGR cleaned out and a full service before so it is in the best condition to get the best gain out of the map.

Hi Tommy, I had similar symptoms with my TDV6 but it was fixed by software updates to the engine/gearbox at the dealer and has completely dialed out the lag, which was quite dangerous at the time. Might be worth considering if you aren't completely happy and haven't had any software updates in the last 18 months. cheers, Anthony TDV6, MYO7 Java with Ivory leather, 19 inch wheels |
