Flight, i am/was in the same situation and have signed up with warranty wise. I got an online quote @ around £800 and thought sod that then they called me to ask what they could do for me to take it. I said reduce the price so i got them down to £550ish for the bells and whistles cover which includes > no excess, full dealer repairs, genuine LR parts, 0% apr etc etc

It seems that tesco sounds quite good... But for the sake of £350... I think id rather keep it Charles Hurst all the way as they know my car... My car has been In four times for the "Knocking" and once for the bluetooth module... And I reckon it would cost a bomb to fix it...

I think £800 isn't too bad, I was expecting £1100 or so....just had a lot of my work done on warranty, and it's worth it, but then again, I think holiday insurance in a bigger rip off - just because I have asthma, I have to pay £140 for a year's cover!! |

is the LR UK one their own still, i paid 600+ plus 4 years ago on our D2 TD5 when we were still in blighty, however there was just to much small print and hassle when i came to claim (which i thought was more down to dealer dishonesty) at the time, with hindsight i think an external insurance warranty would have been just as good:

The LR warranty is done by the same company as the Tesco one, but I am sure the Tesco one provides more cover for less money |

not sure if theres any benefit from going with the 'Landrover' warranty. I bought my car just out of factory warranty from a LR dealer, as the salesman assured me I had a "Full Landrover UK warranty". After fitting 20 inch stormers to my 05 plate, I have experienced the wobble up near the 70mph mark. After a search on here and finding the 'cure' by way of the damped steering column under warranty. one quick call to be told it not actually a landrover policy as they dont have one after factory warranty and i would have to stump up for the column on my own if i want it!!! still got the 19inch wheels in garage so am gonna put them on and go in for a second shot at getting this done foc, but dont hold out much hope! |
