I have gone for the tesco finest warranty on my RRS. I haven't had any real issues with my RRS but have gone with it as pice of mind and it was only around £450.

Flight, i am/was in the same situation and have signed up with warranty wise. I got an online quote @ around £800 and thought sod that then they called me to ask what they could do for me to take it. I said reduce the price so i got them down to £550ish for the bells and whistles cover which includes > no excess, full dealer repairs, genuine LR parts, 0% apr etc etc
For sub £50 a month i think its worth it, mine has been in 3/4 times getting bits done and lets face it they are not the most reliable of cars (look beautiful though)

lots of threads over on Disco3 on the extended warranty and Tesco seems to be the one to choose

Some have had claims paid out, with the dealer dealing with tesco direct, some have had to pay and claim, but i think this happens with quite a few aftermarket warranties

It seems that tesco sounds quite good... But for the sake of £350... I think id rather keep it Charles Hurst all the way as they know my car... My car has been In four times for the "Knocking" and once for the bluetooth module... And I reckon it would cost a bomb to fix it...

Do we get a forum discount on the warranties at CHPR??? Whistle

Also , what is the claiming process at Tesco???

I think £800 isn't too bad, I was expecting £1100 or so....just had a lot of my work done on warranty, and it's worth it, but then again, I think holiday insurance in a bigger rip off - just because I have asthma, I have to pay £140 for a year's cover!!

Nick try direct travel insurance I got asthma too and only pay £60 iirc for a European annual policy including winter sports for the whole family not that a 4 month old baby will be doing much snowboarding

but I suppose it down to how bad the asthma is Thumbs Up

is the LR UK one their own still, i paid 600+ plus 4 years ago on our D2 TD5 when we were still in blighty, however there was just to much small print and hassle when i came to claim (which i thought was more down to dealer dishonesty) at the time, with hindsight i think an external insurance warranty would have been just as good:

LR Australia market Allianz new car extended warranty, it is 900 pounds approx (1800 Aussie dollars) for 3 years / 60,000 additional K's, the D3 ANZ members state they have had no hassle with Allianz dealing direct with the dealerships and recommend it to, so Tesco does sound like a reasonable bet if the D3 crew give it the Thumbs Up Another Pommie Bar Steward down under

The LR warranty is done by the same company as the Tesco one, but I am sure the Tesco one provides more cover for less money

not sure if theres any benefit from going with the 'Landrover' warranty. I bought my car just out of factory warranty from a LR dealer, as the salesman assured me I had a "Full Landrover UK warranty". After fitting 20 inch stormers to my 05 plate, I have experienced the wobble up near the 70mph mark. After a search on here and finding the 'cure' by way of the damped steering column under warranty. one quick call to be told it not actually a landrover policy as they dont have one after factory warranty and i would have to stump up for the column on my own if i want it!!! still got the 19inch wheels in garage so am gonna put them on and go in for a second shot at getting this done foc, but dont hold out much hope!
