You want big tyres on your RRS? - It won't work!

I thought I would treat myself to a set of new rims for the truck and they arrived today.................................. They are bigger than anything Sexy Pauly can fit to his RRS Whistle Whistle They should fit provided I can find a hacksaw to make the wheel arches a bit bigger or lock the RRS in Offroad height!

They are ZU 5 Spoke light Alloys and they totally fill the RRS wheel arches at offroad height

The combo is a 16" wheel with 265 75 R16 BF Goodrich MTRs and they are going to look like this when fitted

on my DEFENDER ...........................
Pity that ZU don't make them to fit an RRS!

Now without anything in the background

I have the same tyres on a set of Land Rover 16" Deep Dish Alloys on the 90 at the moment and in 5 years heavy offroad use I have only some very light scuffing on the rims....................... just shows how important a little bit of sidewall is for protecting the wheels 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Very nice, always fancied a set of Mach 5's for my off road Disco1. Are the Zu's steel or alloy.

What you need is a set of HD drive flanges to really set em off like this

They are Gunmetal coloured alloy Rob and they'll be going onto the 90 next week. I have never seen (even when I had Grizzly Claws on the car) so many balance weights on wheels as these wheels have on them, there are balance weights on top of balance weights, all round it must add about a kg of lead to the vehicle! I'll look into the HD drive flanges - they look good on your Disco. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Wish that was my disco mate! It belongs to a friend on the Discovery Owners Club. I have a set of steel modulars with 235/85 Grizzly Claws on mine. Awsome offroad but sounds like a Lancaster Bomber on take off on the road Laughing TDV8 now with extra grin factor thanks to Alive Tunning: Gone but not forgotten

I ran the 90 on Grizzlies for a few years and when one started to delaminate I swapped to the BFG MTR's. The MTR's are not only a lot more pleasant onroad than the GC's but for some odd reason they also run much more quietly than the set of BFG AT's that I also have. I also don't find I have lost out much off-road running the BFG MT's although the side cleats on the Grizzlies were really good in the slippery stuff but got damaged easily in rock climbing situations. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
