They SHOULD have bled new fluid in right the way through the system, from the reservoir to the bleed nipples on all the calipers. What makes you suspicious that they didn't BTW ? RRS TDV8 Buck Blue (no, not now in my dreams). ..........D3 TDclankety clankV6 ............BMW 318i |

Yes, I think they drain the old fluid via each brake caliper bleed screw until all the old fluid is drained out.

Its a bit of a long story so won't bore you with details but my car came back from a 60k service with the fluid change ticked in the service book and as I have my own ramp I put my car on it and none of the caliper bleed nipples have any sign of being used for a very long time and as I have had problems with this dealer before I was not surprised, just disappointed again.

The filter itself is under the intercooler cover, the drain plug (if you want to check that too) is fairly obviously under the sump guard plate.
