Bobby your PC is either filled up with electronic versions of the whole RRS workshop manual library or your garage at home is lined with folders full of "info that might be useful sometime" ........................................ Do you sell info to the GTR website as well?? 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Thanks so much Bobby - that diagram confirms that the C2831 socket (I'll send a few pics when I do the installation) is indeed the AUX in. Can't believe that LR wanted £400+ to fit a socket for me, when the wiring loom is already there

Wired it all up, but not a dicky. I suspect the other end may be disconnected as I wasn't even getting electrical popping noises through the speakers as I fiddled with and dis / re connected the wires to the 3.5mm Jack.

Hi ade - have a look over on www.DISCO3.CO.UK for aux input, there's loads of information over there. The D3 and RRS systems are the same. Like this site? Buy some RRSPORT goodies to show your support! |

Thanks guys but I can't find a clear answer over there either. I can't believe that the plug in the back is not terminated at the front - that really wouldn't make any sense

Thanks shmoogle, that really does help, albeit in a negative manner "So I investigated and whilst I'm convinced the wires in the back are the right ones, they don't go anywhere !! Connector in front pass footwell doesn't contain those wires coming from the stereo ! So, I conclude that LR didn't fit any aux wiring to the XS ! Next ? Radio out !!! Thanks for your help Hayden" So at least you (and Hayden) have stopped me wasting any more time Ade |

Ade, look in my link to DISCO3 - that's for the base model D3 which may be wired the same as the XS RRS. Like this site? Buy some RRSPORT goodies to show your support! |
