Get the TDV8 - it is by far a better engine, also there seem to be positive feedback for the latest fix to the knocking problem - 1 day fix under warranty.

VA- could you please let me know about this 1 day fix under warranty,my tdv8 is going in on monday, i would really appreciate any ammo i can use on dealer. sorry to hi jack thread. oh and deffo go for the tdv8!! its a beast. |

Thanks for everyone's comments. I'd love a TDV8 but there still seems some doubt even with this new fix. And the car's for my wife and family more than me so I want to be sure.

I think DR became an option on the TDV6s via the "Dynamic Pack" for MY07 vehicles - so that would have been shipping dates from Sep 2006 onwards. It's standard on HSEs nowadays, but I don't think it was back then...

How about I get the selling dealer to guarantee that, if the car develops the suspension issue during the warranty period, and they can't fix it, then they will replace the car or give me my money back?

Fair point, but I doubt you'd get them to sign up to that... mind you, if you don't ask you don't get.

Dont know mutch about cars but 3 kids seats, 2 isofix and 1 booster definately fit .
