2005 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Santorini Black
'Reduced engine performance' problem??

Hi guys, i'm new to the site.

Bught a 2005 rr sport s/c a month or so back and a few times i have had a 'reduced engine performance' warning come up on the dash, followed by the car severly losing most of its power, ie, it takes a long time to even reach 60. When this has happened i've pulled over and switched the engine off for ten mins. It does only happen though after i have driven quite hard in sport mode (floored it a couple of times) but it occurs only after 5 mins of so driving like this which surely cannot be right. I'm obviously going to take it in to be looked at asap but i was just wondering if anyone else has ahd similar problems with thiers and what the issue was with it?

many thanks.

It was fairly common with the S/C. LR released a fix for it some time ago - search and you should find it. Have a look in Bobby's gallery as well, he might have a copy of the relevant TSB. Thumbs Up

Hi Jason,

Not sure if you sorted this by now. I had the same problem a few months back and it turned out to be the supercharger coolant pump.. apparently they give up after about 60k miles :s
